The owners’ courtesy and hospitality deserve top marks, as does the location, with a lovely view over Loreto Aprutino and the hills descending toward the Adriatic Sea. This building began as a hotel and later became a B&B. Its structure and furnishings are original, giving it an old-fashioned style that’s neither modern nor traditional. It also operates as a restaurant, though I haven’t found any good reviews for it yet.

You can taste traditional local dishes here that feel like flavors lost in modern restaurants. The place has the feel of another era, and the owners say they use no industrial ingredients. They’re modest about the newspaper articles displayed on the walls. The chef was even named the “Knight of Guitar Maccheroni.” It’s an extraordinary restaurant as well as a B&B, with a breathtaking view over the Pescara hills. I’d give it an 11 out of 10. My only criticism is that the owner doesn’t seem keen to teach young people the secrets behind this simple, genuine cooking. I don’t think they realize they have a role in passing on Abruzzo’s food traditions. We’ll be back. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent, and the view looked like a picture. With the warmth of an old cast iron stove and total peace and quiet, it made for a rare kind of evening.

The restaurant food is really tasty, and I’ve rarely seen a view as beautiful as this one. They’re friendly too, and speak perfect German :-)
