B&B Gli Alberetti

The location was handy for the historic center, a little over a kilometer away on foot, though getting there meant taking a long flight of steps. We liked the double room, but the second bedroom felt much too small. Breakfast was only offered on request. When we arrived the bathroom was dirty. The host offered right away to send someone to clean it, but it still made for an unpleasant start.

There's street parking right outside the entrance, and the sanctuary is less than 2 km away. The apartment has its own entrance, with a living room, kitchen and microwave, bedroom, and shower bathroom. It's a charming little place, though the stairs mean it isn't accessible.

It's a peaceful spot, though a bit removed from the city center. At this price, I'd expect a few changes, since B&Bs are comparable to hotels. The shower should be redone, the sheets replaced, preferably with white ones, and a TV added to the living room. All the scattered odds and ends around the house weren't much use to me. I'd have preferred practical things for an overnight stay, like extra shower soap, a hair cap, and a few fresh, clean towels. Make those improvements and I'd come back. Best regards.

Marco was precise, kind, and ready to help. The accommodation was independent, nicely furnished, and had every comfort. We chose it so we could easily get to the center with our small child, and its proximity to the historic center was especially useful for seeing the Basilica. Waking up to croissants set out on a tray was a much-appreciated touch. I'd remember this B&B fondly if I returned.
