Antica Corte - Bed and Breakfast

We had trouble opening the door because the lock seemed nearly broken, and the rooms weren’t very clean. Although we’d agreed on our arrival time, the host had forgotten the keys. The place is too far from the center to walk.

There’s parking at the property and nearby, and it’s easy to reach. The rooms are clean, though the B&B is right on the road, so constant traffic noise could be an issue if you’re not used to sleeping with it. The woman who runs it is kind and helpful, and happy to answer questions or share information. The service was good.

The room was cramped and stuffy, with only a wall fan for cooling. A broken wardrobe door and broken glass bedside table added to the shabby feel; the other bedside table seemed to have disappeared altogether. There wasn’t a proper chair, just a very uncomfortable bent plywood stool. The receptionist was kind, welcoming, and helpful when we arrived, but that was the only good part. Is this the famous Italian hospitality? Awful. She’s the only reason I’d consider coming back.

Good enough, but nothing fancy. The rooms are small and comfortable, with a few details that aren’t quite right. They weren’t cleaned one day, and I don’t know why. There’s no breakfast because 7:30 is considered too early. Since it seems to mostly attract tourists, that’s hard to understand. Just the basics.
