A restaurant just a minute's walk away became a real highlight. We ate there five times during our 15 nights, alongside plenty of locals who come from Lucca to enjoy the garden and dine outdoors in the cooler countryside. This was our third stay at Casa Eda, on the outskirts of Lucca, and we keep coming back because we love it. The farmhouse has been renovated recently, with new bathrooms and quality fixtures, a new enclosed terrace, and a free EV charger for the car. There's lots of room, with two double bedrooms, two single bedrooms, a kitchen, a sitting room, a dining table in the hall area, and a large sitting room filled with family heirlooms that give you a sense of the area's past. The people who run Casa Eda are lovely and always on hand if you need anything. We hope to return in the years ahead.
