Casa Tofanelli in Lucca

Arianna and her mother were so kind and always around if we needed anything. We were there with our French bulldog, and the clean, comfortable rooms suited us well. The place is simple but elegant, only 500 meters from Porta San Pietro and Lucca's lovely city walls. I'd happily recommend it.

The little garden is small but inviting, with a Provençal feel, and we had a very pleasant stay. Arianna's mother greeted us, and she was attentive, helpful, and very refined. Breakfast isn't served at the property, where there's just a coffee machine and a few biscuits, but they give guests a voucher for a nearby café. It's well placed for free parking and the historic center. We'll be back for sure.

The room was cozy and clean, and really did feel like home. We made good use of the coffee machine and fridge, and Arianna was available whenever we needed her. She also gave us helpful information, including about Francesco's restaurant, where we had a great time. It's a lovely base for seeing Lucca, just a short step from the walls. We stayed for a weekend and will definitely return soon.

It's an easy 10-15 minute walk to Lucca's walls, and parking is right outside the building. The bedroom is huge, the bathroom is just as spacious, and the bed is really comfortable. There's also a small shared room where you can help yourself to coffee and tea.
