Catelli B&B Villa

We found the room well kept and a good size, and breakfast was nice too. The owners were welcoming and genuinely interested in helping, from restaurant bookings to ideas for places to visit nearby. They really did go the extra mile. This B&B is very close to the city center, and they have free bikes if you don’t want to walk the 200 meters. Riding around the wall at sunset was wonderful. Easily recommend it, one of our most welcoming stays in Italy so far.

The owners made us homemade breakfast, and you really should try the delicious croissants. We spent two nights here, and the service was exceptional. The location is perfect, just a three-minute walk from the walls of Luca, while still quiet enough that we didn’t hear the city center noise. It was 32C outside, and as a Canadian I need good air conditioning. The AC was strong and kept us cool all night, so I slept comfortably. We’ll definitely be back.

Elise welcomed us warmly, talked us through the city, and gave us tips and a map. The bikes she lends out were the best part for me: Lucca is incredible to explore by bike, and you can ride all the way around the walls. The house is very close to them. Our stay was wonderful, with cozy, clean rooms, a good bathroom, and a great breakfast. I highly recommend it.

The owner was the loveliest, most helpful lady and couldn’t do enough for us. She even gave me a free Italian lesson. We slept well in a very comfortable bed with lovely linen, and the shower was hot and powerful. The location is amazing, they have free bikes, and the morning coffee was great. Thanks for everything, I’d stay again.
