Lucca is such a charming city, and the hotel made a lovely base for our explorations. The staff were lovely, always friendly and helpful. Our spacious room had great air conditioning, which we appreciated in the heat. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from: fresh juice, coffee, pastries, meat, and cheese. Definitely try the cream and apple tart, it’s absolutely delicious. I adored Lucca, and you won’t be disappointed. Grazie!

The regional touches at breakfast were delicious, and the staff were careful and genuinely helpful. My room was clean, roomy, and had good furniture. For a small two-star hotel, Hotel Diana is quite a find, especially with such a good location. I was very glad I stayed there.

We were in a separate building, and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of space, though the shower cabin was small. Breakfast was good, and the staff were nice and helpful. The location worked well for us. I wasn't keen on the old terracotta-colored tile floor in the room.

The companion hotel had a pleasant restaurant with some shared outdoor seating. Here, the room was small but adequate, though I can't remember whether it had a fridge. It's only a short walk from the railway station and just around the corner from Piazza del San Martin. I'd definitely return.

The staff were all extremely friendly, and the rooms are big. The interiors have a lively feel, and breakfast was good. It's a nice two-star hotel and great value, with a great location too. I'd happily stay again on another trip to Lucca.
