Residenza Centro Storico

The rooms have loads of character and space, with modern conveniences, and everything was exceptionally clean. We slept really well in the comfortable beds, and the strong air conditioning was much appreciated in the summer heat. There were thoughtful extras too, like a coffee machine, fridge, and cold filtered water. It’s right in the heart of Lucca, and I’d highly recommend staying here.

The host was so friendly, and the room felt cozy, clean, and comfortable. I especially loved the coffee, it was the best I had on my trip in Italy. We had such a lovely night here.

We cooked a few times, and even though the kitchen is a little small, it did the job. It was handy having coffee and hot chocolate nearby, too. The room and bathroom were lovely, the beds were comfortable, and the location was great.

The place is nicely decorated, with a coffee machine and tea in the communal area, and the rooms are small but practical and attractive. Its location right in the town centre is a real plus. Check-in was frustrating: if you arrive outside certain hours, the door is locked. There’s a number posted on the door, and the person who answered was helpful, but the QR code for getting the keys wouldn’t work, so I had to buy a code-scanner app. Checking out was awkward too, since nobody was at the front desk to take the keys and we had to wander around looking for someone. It’s a mix of a hotel and an Airbnb, and I’d recommend it.
