Villa La Preziosa

We chose La Preziosa for our honeymoon and couldn’t have been happier. It’s a family business and a passion project B&B, and every detail is exquisite. We rented bikes and rode into Lucca; Gunter even made sure we had chilled wine for our picnic. They helped with dinner reservations and planned side trips to vineyards and the coast. Lucca is a great base for exploring Tuscany and Liguria, while Villa la Preziosa is a lovely place to unwind in the evening and start the day. Gorgeous breakfast, friendly staff and perfect hospitality.

What stays with me most is the gracious hosts. The owners are deeply involved and are genuinely wonderful people who do all they can to make the stay memorable. The gardens are beautiful, the building is warm and clean, and the rooms and beds are comfortable. Every picture and comment about Villa La Preziosa was accurate, and the breakfast was especially good. We rode bikes from the villa, about a 10-minute ride, then walked around safe Lucca, with its narrow shopping lanes and lots of good restaurants. Our afternoons were spent relaxing in the villa garden with coffee and wine. If you’re traveling through Tuscany, stay at least two nights if you can. Visiting Lucca and staying here is an experience you’ll remember.

We had a wonderful seven-night stay at the villa with my wife and two younger adult daughters. It’s very private, a short drive from the Walls of Lucca, and the surrounding areas are easy to reach. If you want to leave the property, I’d recommend having your own car. The hosts are a lovely family who live on site. We’d definitely stay again when visiting beautiful Lucca! 😍

The garden was such a peaceful spot, and the service was just as lovely as the rest of our stay. Our room was beautiful and clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and breakfast was amazing. We had a wonderful time at Villa Le Preziosa.
