The wellbeing area was a lovely place to unwind, especially the attic steam bath and relaxation space, which felt serene and exclusive. Breakfast in the covered window area was cozy and beautifully prepared, and particularly magical on rainy mornings. We were traveling with our dog, Sinatra, and the kindness and care shown to him was exceptional. We chose Lucca as a peaceful base for trips to Pisa and Florence, and Villa Romantica worked perfectly. It’s near the city walls, historic center, and train station, so getting around was easy. From the start, we felt cared for, almost as if welcomed into the home of a wonderful Italian mother: warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. It felt like home, and we’d gladly return.

The breakfast had a great range to choose from, and the bedroom was wonderfully comfortable. Service was fantastic, really top quality all round.

There’s a great Japanese restaurant just down the street, and it’s a quick walk to the old town. Parking is at the back. The place was quiet, the sheets were clean and crisp, and breakfast was fantastic. Loved staying here, and I’ll definitely come back.

Getting to the old town walls took just two minutes on foot, with a convenient entrance nearby. There were local shops and places to eat close by too, and the location was great. Our large room had a balcony and a separate sitting room, and was beautifully comfortable. The staff promptly handled our questions and requests. Excellent value for money, and a wonderful experience at Villa Romantica.

We paid €55 in September, and free parking was included. An early check-in was possible too. The host was nice, the bathroom was fine, and the small room was adequate. The villa is a bit odd, tucked behind trees, but pleasant. In Lucca, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the walled centre and 20 minutes on foot to the main sights.
