Attilia made this feel like a dream getaway, and every little detail was just right. It was an amazing stay and honestly the best place I’ve ever stayed, a real gem in Tuscany. Highly recommend it. Thank you so much, we’ll definitely be back.

The old house has been turned into a quaint, tidy hotel, and the small pool was lovely. We enjoyed our local stay, and dinner in town was lovely too, though expensive. It took about 30 minutes to get there, despite the booking saying the hotel was closer to Lucca, so we had to take a cab. The owner was sweet, though she spoke little English. The man working with her spoke it better. I was bothered that breakfast cost extra when the price had said it was included, and that she wanted payment in euros, which I didn’t have, so I had to ask my grandmother for some. I’d have preferred to be nearer town and to know breakfast wasn’t actually free.

Attilia was welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. Whenever we needed something, she came to help and offered solutions. We’d definitely stay again next time we visit Lucca. The 12th-century convent is beautiful and full of charm, with modern comforts like Wi-Fi, a smart TV, air conditioning, a pool, and plug adaptors. Our room was clean, bright, and well kept, with freshly cleaned towels and basics like shower gel, shampoo, and cotton pads. Breakfast with her had something for both sweet and savory tastes, including omelettes, bread, ham, cheese, homemade croissants, and cakes. The house is outside the city center, which suited us since we like walking. It’s about 35-40 minutes on foot, or around 10 minutes by taxi, costing 10€ to 17€ depending on traffic.

The garden and pool feel like a little oasis, and breakfast was a big spread. We found the house wonderful, so I’m not sure why some of the other reviews aren’t as nice. Definitely recommend this charming, quirky, family-run B&B if that’s what you’re after.
