Casa Montalgallo

I’m glad I picked this place as our base for a Tuscany road trip. It was great for day trips along the backroads, and close enough to walk into Lucignano for dinner. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, attentive to every little detail, and ready to help. The two rooms were spacious, well furnished, and very clean, with what we needed, including coffee capsules, fresh water, and cookies. Breakfast was pure art, not just food (see the photo). There’s on-site parking, surrounded by a well-kept garden.

We liked it so much that our planned four nights turned into six. Every morning we were amazed by the breakfast and all the food. Just a note, the jacuzzi isn’t heated in summer, though it makes a refreshing plunge pool on hot days. We had an amazing time and highly recommend it!

Franceska and Filippo were the best hosts we came across on our trip. We wish we’d had longer to spend with them. When we arrived, she picked us up at the bus station, then drove us to the train station in the morning. Our train was early, so she packed breakfast for us to enjoy while traveling. Hope we see them again.

Rooms were great, with all the extra things we needed, and the romantic design really gave us that Tuscan feeling from the pictures. The balcony view was amazing, and breakfast was crazy good, with so many tasty things. Francesca and Filippo were warm, kind, and welcoming. Since it was our first visit, Francesca’s suggestions for places nearby saved us time figuring out what to see. You’ll love staying here, and I’m sure you’ll want to come back.
