We were warmly welcomed and well looked after for the two nights we stayed. Our host gave us ideas for things to do nearby and made two really tasty dinners. Each dinner was 60 euros for two adults and two children, including a glass of wine. The place is very quiet and remote, and you need to drive a couple of kilometers along a dirt road to get there. It was worth it.

The owner was so sweet and the service was great. Each room has its own bathroom and a lovely view over the open countryside, with two mountain ridges in the distance. Our room even had a romantic bed on a second level. There's a small kitchen, and breakfast is thoughtfully prepared for each guest in the fridge, ready to fix as you like. It's very secluded, so at night you mostly hear a donkey braying or a dog barking. The lake is far away, though there's a river down in the valley. The drive there is fine even in a small city car. Towel service was really needed. Bring a hair dryer if you need one.

We visited back in 2005, and even after all these years we still hold you in our hearts. The farmhouses, beautifully restored and surrounded by nature, were among the most beautiful places I've seen. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. We still dream about coming back with our children. Warm wishes from Trieste. ❤️
