Sporthotel Romantic Plaza

After a big day on the slopes, the included spa was just what we needed: pool, sauna, steam room, cool room, showers, and relaxation rooms. The gym looked well presented, and there was even a kids room with games. The hotel is wonderfully situated in the valley, with a great bar and lounge spread over two levels. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast and dinner service were exceptional, with full cooked breakfasts, pastries, cereals, fruit, and good coffee, plus options for different tastes and dietary needs. No request was too much trouble. Dinner was five courses each night, with a different menu every evening.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet. The food was tasty and plentiful, though some dishes arrived distinctly cool and could have been much hotter. The reception, bar, restaurant, and spa all felt worthy of four stars, but the bedrooms were tired and the bathrooms long overdue for refurbishment. The shower nozzles were worn out, spraying everywhere except at you, and there were cracked tiles. Check that your bedroom door is shut, as housekeeping disconnected the automatic closer every day. They turned on all the lights but left dying LED bulbs flashing, and the route from the room to the stairs, which is a fire exit, was often blocked with housekeeping items and rubbish for hours. The room temperature control didn't work and it was often 25 deg. Opening a window to cool down didn't help, since housekeeping shut it every day. The hotel felt like going back in time once you left the public areas. Sorry, I wouldn't stay again.

We spent five great days there over Easter. The restaurant was fantastic, with very friendly staff, a great variety each day, and awesome cakes. The room was very nice, and the spa was excellent. We all had a relaxing massage after skiing, and it was nice to get free drinks after the saunas. One receptionist's English wasn't very good, so there were a few misunderstandings, but nothing serious. The bar staff were lovely too, and twice after skiing we were offered a range of snacks, which was fantastic. The Easter meal was amazing, and the adorable decorations made the evening really memorable. Thank you 🤩❤️🤩

The hotel canceled my Booking.com reservation without my approval and booked the room privately instead. My Booking.com booking was still there until the last day, when they canceled it at checkout and told me they'd booked directly. I paid over $1000 more for a room I hadn't authorized. Very dishonest, with horrible customer service. We paid for three people, but the third person had to sleep on an uncomfortable couch without a DUVET. On several mornings, expired milk was still being served at breakfast. The property isn't ski to door as advertised and absolutely isn't worth the price. I do not recommend it!
