Agriturismo Ippogrifo

The land around the agriturismo is lovely to explore, with animals at the educational farm, olive trees, and a starry sky at night. It also works well as a relaxing base for visiting places like Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Gubbio, Orvieto, and Lake Trasimeno. Massimo and Laura made us feel welcome during our six-night stay and were helpful and proactive throughout. Breakfast was different each day, with fresh ingredients and homemade treats, from bread and jam to strudel and assorted cakes. We also enjoyed making cheese ourselves, which I’d definitely recommend. If you get the chance to eat dinner there, the homemade food is worth it, including appetizers, tagliatelle with white sauce, and porchetta. Their care for guests, knowledge of the field, willingness to meet requests, and the pool all add to the stay. I’d happily return.

We’ll be back for sure. The family made us feel welcome and really drew us in, and the food was good quality. The room was traditional and well kept, and there’s an educational farm open to everyone. It’s a charming place in a handy spot for visiting lots of points of interest.

We had lunch with Casalecchio dishes in a relaxed family setting, with Adua and Dori, a donkey and a dog, eagerly looking for cuddles. Massimo and Laura were so kind. The place sits among olive and pine trees and has a spectacular view. Recommended.

Making cheese for the day and then having it for lunch was fantastic. The farm has horses, sheep, pigs, goats, and poultry, and lunch is made entirely with produce from the farm. The family raises and grows things with real passion and respect for the environment. It feels like a proper educational farm, surrounded by nature. Highly recommended for families with children.
