Le Tartarughe B&B

We booked one night online for €75, with breakfast included. In the morning, the place was deserted and there was no sign of breakfast. When we got in touch to pay, the owner's husband turned up and demanded €80 instead, saying it was because our room had a four-poster bed. We hadn't asked for that, and any extra charge should have been disclosed in advance. This didn't seem like honest or serious B&B service. I’ll make sure this B&B gets the publicity it deserves. Definitely not recommended.

The rooms are always clean and well cared for, and it's a quiet, peaceful spot. We’ve stayed here five times over the last few years and have been happy every time. Breakfast is generous and varied, especially the homemade cakes. Camilla and Francesco are both lovely and helpful, and chatting with them over breakfast is a pleasure. Francesco also gives excellent advice as a tour guide. It’s wonderful to see the place thriving year after year.

Magliano's center is just steps away, and the location is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the stay was still a negative experience. Our rooms were dusty and poorly cleaned, and the hot water kept cutting out. The boiler gave us trouble for all three days, even after it seemed fixed. Breakfast was disappointing too, with few choices, no fruit, and a jam tart that was still raw. Even if it was the off-season, service should be decent, or perhaps they should only open in high season.

Francesco's suggestions made our trip especially rich and exciting. He pointed us toward notable destinations and recommended good local restaurants away from the tourist spots, where we enjoyed typical Maremma dishes. The B&B "Le Tartarughe" is in a lovely town in the Tuscan Maremma, with good connections to the best-known Argentario beaches. Our room had a beautiful panoramic view and was cleaned perfectly every day, with every comfort. Camilla and Francesco are excellent hosts. We recommend the B&B "Le Tartarughe" and will definitely return. Thank you, Tania and Manlio.
