Tenuta Uccellina

The garden belonging to the house was beautiful, spacious, and well kept, and the surrounding area was fantastic, with wonderful beaches and splendid villages. Still, given the fairly high price and generally mediocre service, I’d suggest looking elsewhere for a stay on the beautiful Tuscan coast. Our apartment was okay, but basic, and felt a bit expensive considering there was no Wi-Fi, laundry option, air conditioning, or pool. Some windows had no mosquito screens, which was unpleasant with so many mosquitoes around. We were told it would be fixed the next day, but nobody came. A broken kitchen item was also promised as a replacement, but that never happened. The broken fan, on the other hand, was replaced right away. We asked for compensation after raising these problems, and are still waiting for a response. I’ll add it here if we hear back.

The location in Maremma is incredible, and it’s very close to Uccellina Park. I highly recommend it. One small annoyance was that although the rooms have a useful kitchen, none of the basics for cooking were provided, like salt or oil. Mosquito nets would also be a big improvement, even just on the toilet windows.

The apartments are spacious enough for larger families, and the location and facilities are great. Service gets attention, but there’s no daily cleaning, which doesn’t really work for stays longer than one or two nights.

The pictures didn’t match what we found, and it felt like people were being misled to make money. We were upset with the place, especially since there are beautiful places nearby. I wish we’d stayed somewhere else. The management was rude.
