I booked a room for two people at B&B Benessere Beauty & Welness Maglie for one night, December 18, 2021, with a friend, and have proof of the online reservation. We were traveling by bus and missed it, so I contacted the property to ask for check-in an hour later. The woman I spoke to said we couldn’t arrive after the check-in time listed on the page. She gave me the boss’s number so I could explain, but he didn’t answer. When I called her back, she said there was nothing she could do. They kept the payment for the night and then didn’t respond to later online messages from us or the booking company about cancellation or a refund. We ended up out 50 euros and without a place to sleep, and had to find last-minute accommodation. Be careful when booking or planning to stay there.

We had a lovely weekend and the breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Tiffany at the front desk was cheerful, easy to reach, and glad to answer our questions. Antonio, the manager, was especially helpful and quickly sorted out every issue we had. Everyone was ready to help promptly. We’ll definitely return. Thanks so much for everything.

The place looked nice, but I couldn’t wait to leave. There were lots of insects, especially behind the bed, which made it hard to sleep peacefully. The sheets were dirty, with marks that looked like blood and suggested a female physiological condition. On top of that, the projector made unbearable noises all night, even while switched off.

Antonio, the owner, and the girls who work there were incredibly kind and helpful. They greeted me with a lovely smile and paid attention to everything I needed. My room was beautiful and well equipped. There’s also a beauty center on site where you can unwind and be pampered. I’d definitely stay again.

We arrived after a 1200km journey, and Antonio had already offered to welcome us after hours, at 10:00 PM. Alessandra was really friendly too. She brought us coffee, recommended places to eat, and showed us our beautiful room with a private bathroom. Instead of an ordinary TV, it had a cinema-style projector. The warmth of the South really is unrivaled. My sincere thanks to both of them.
