Hotel Panorama

Breakfast was incredible, and most of the staff were great. We enjoyed our stay and the rooms were comfortable, though the bathrooms were a bit rough around the edges and none of our rooms had tissues. The check-in experience was the main letdown: we’d paid for three sea-view rooms but got two sea views and one side view. When I asked about it, the woman at reception just shrugged. Later, I asked her about self-service laundry and she was just as unhelpful, acting as if nobody had ever asked before. Apart from that, it was a lovely stay.

Maiori is a beautiful town, and the hotel’s location was superb. We came for our friends’ 40th wedding anniversary and spent seven days here. Rosa Maria, Lorenzo, and Miriam made us feel welcome and did a great job helping us enjoy the stay. Rosa Maria was a steady source of information and support as we worked through the sights we wanted to see. Her patience and sense of humour meant a lot to us. The breakfast team also deserves a mention. The food was great, and they remembered that I need gluten-free options, setting out bread and desserts for me each day. We’d happily recommend both Maiori and Hotel Panorama for a stay on this coast.

Our room faced the water and had everything we needed, including a safe, closet space, plenty of charging ports, a mini fridge, and bathroom essentials. The front desk team made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived after more than two hours travelling from Naples Airport by train and bus. The bus dropped us almost right outside the hotel, which looks beautiful by the waterfront. Staff answered our questions, were patient with my attempts at Italian, and explained the hotel. They also suggested what to order and where to eat, which helped since we needed vegetarian options. Whenever we passed reception, they checked in and asked what we’d tried or what else they could help us find to do. The port, with lots of ferry ticket stands, was a short walk away, and Minori was less than a 20-minute walk. We didn’t have time to take the Path of Lemons, which starts right behind the hotel. Towels were available for the beach across the street and the pool by the hotel’s restaurant. Our stay felt much too short. I’d recommend Hotel Panorama and can’t wait to come back.

The breakfast was my biggest disappointment. There were plenty of choices, but the eggs and bacon weren’t cooked properly, so I couldn’t eat them. Food safety starts with cooking things like that properly. I almost took off another star over it. The pancake maker was pretty cool, though. We also had a couple of room issues: the smart TV remote was the wrong one, so we could only change channels and couldn’t get to the menu, and the shower stall could use some maintenance. Otherwise, it was a nice room with a beautiful view, and we enjoyed our stay.
