I was riding from Switzerland to Croatia when a terrible storm caught me out. The rain was so heavy I couldn't even find shelter in time, so I showed up at the first hotel I saw, soaked through. I waited outside until someone came to help. They were full, and she called around town, but the other hotels had no rooms either. In the end she let me sleep in the hallway, and even let me shower and dry my clothes. After a good night's rest, I tried to pay in the morning, but they wouldn't take anything. They told me to have some breakfast from the buffet and continue on my way. What an awesome hotel, thanks!

The room was clean and in good shape, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was there overnight while cycling the Alpe-Adria trail, so being only a few hundred meters from it was ideal. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, though I wasn't keen on the coffee.

We ate really well, and the rooms were clean, pleasant, and peaceful. It's run by the family and sits by the Malborghetto fortress, on the village side rather than facing the state road to Tarvisio. The AlpeAdria bicycle route is very close. It's a good base for cycling, hiking, sports, and cultural outings, so staying for a few days makes sense.
