We spent a family weekend in central Malcesine, and it was easy to get to all the attractions from this new, clean, well-furnished apartment. There are two flights of stairs to reach it, though, so it may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The spacious living room has a kitchen and sofa bed, and there's a lovely double bedroom. The kitchen has everything from a dishwasher and large fridge to a kettle. There's also an iron and a washing machine in the anteroom. Guests get a parking card for the nearby lot, where parking is free. Both the apartment and the street-level entrance use electronic locks. Highly recommended.

It's really sad that this still happens today. The owner wouldn't let me book simply because I'm Neapolitan, and that kind of thing clearly has negative consequences for local tourism.
