Eco Hotel Benacus

The staff came across as rather unfriendly and unwelcoming, which was a letdown. Still, the hotel makes a handy base for a few days by the lake, with clean, tidy rooms, a pool, and a tasty breakfast that even includes natural honey. Nearby restaurants offer good options, and the hotel gives a discount at them. There's a supermarket just opposite, free parking, and a scenic path down to the lake. To get up the hill, you can walk to the funicular or catch the frequent local shuttle bus for €2, which is easier in the morning.

Roberto was friendly and gave us useful tips, and there's a Spar shop across the street with a good selection at reasonable prices. We had a lovely stay at Hotel Benacus. The garden was beautiful, the rooms were very clean, and breakfast had lots to choose from, including eggs, cold cuts, fruit, pancakes, waffles, cereals, and a juicer for making fresh juice. We highly recommend the hotel.

We spent six nights at Benacus and have just returned to England. Roberto and the team are lovely and gave us fantastic service. We had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend the hotel for a great trip to this beautiful area.

The garden was a real pleasure, and the pool was especially welcome on hot days. Breakfast was very good, with fresh, quality food and excellent coffee. The woman looking after breakfast was friendly and efficient. Roberto was a lovely host, welcoming and full of useful local tips. We all loved our stay and the location worked perfectly for us.
