The hotel runs a shuttle for pilots to the gondola, about 2 km away, and there are a couple of restaurants close by. The old town was a little farther on foot than I’d ideally like, but the hotel rents bikes for free. Lake access and paragliding were both easy from this location. The owners were fun and caring, and breakfast was great. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, plus a balcony looking over olive trees toward the lake. There’s also a patio in the Olive Garden and a pool. My only complaint is the breakfast coffee machine. Sadly, that seems to apply to almost all Italian accommodations: these soulless touchscreen automatics make coffee that can’t compare with the infinitely more delicious coffee the staff make on the “real” machine.

We tried to cancel a week before we were due to arrive because circumstances we couldn’t predict meant we could no longer come. The hotel refused our refund request. We understand it says non-refundable, but other hotels have made an exception. This is the worst customer service we’ve ever experienced.

The hotel refused to refund us after we tried to cancel a week before our scheduled arrival because of unforeseen circumstances. We were furious 😡. This is the worst customer service we’ve ever encountered. Stay away!
