Hotel Garni Ischia

The location was fantastic, about a five-minute walk to the cable cars for Monte Baldo and ten minutes to town. We had a clean, comfortable room and a really good buffet breakfast. A lovely hotel with friendly service.

Massimo and his team were always busy, but so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a warm welcome, comfortable rooms, lovely views, and a hearty breakfast. The hotel is in a great spot, away from the hustle and bustle but only a ten-minute walk into town. Fabulous place.

Breakfast was included, with eggs made to order, fresh fruit, and a generous selection of dairy products, cereals, breads, and drinks. The Funnavia discount coupons saved us Eur 3 on each ticket. Owner and manager Bertuzzi Massimo welcomed us warmly and patiently explained local attractions. We rented his mountain bikes for 5 Eur per half day, which were ideal for a ride along the coast. It's close enough to the town center and coast, and at Eur 38.50 per person for the second floor, it was great value. Room tip: Corner Room 5 on the second floor was airy and comfortable, with a lake view.

Malcesine felt a little less touristy than the other places we visited. We had a great four days here, with trips to Limone, Riva del Garda, and Sirmione. We can strongly recommend staying in Malcesine, especially at Massioms place. He was so friendly, helped us with everything, and served a really good breakfast. We'll definitely come back!
