Wind Hotel

The freshly cooked breakfast helped make the stay worthwhile, and the rooms we paid extra for had a nice lake view. There was direct access to the beach. But several things made the experience worse. In the days before check-in, the hotel kept messaging me for card details to confirm the booking. They knew about the hack or virus, but it didn't seem that anything had been done, and I continued getting spam during the stay, including at night. The rooms and elevator were old, and cleaning wasn't well maintained. The booking description said garage and outdoor parking were available, but in practice spaces were tiny and first come, first served. One day a woman from the staff asked us to move the car so tightly that we couldn't open the driver doors, and another driver blocked us from leaving.

There was so much food at breakfast, hot and cold, beautifully presented and cooked. And dinner? We were disappointed we didn't have more nights to try the whole menu. The staff were superb, every one of them, and the hotel had everything you'd want. We couldn't fault a thing from arrival until checkout, seven nights later. If you're considering staying here, just book it.

We didn't want to leave Wind hotel, and we'll come back and recommend it to everyone. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the location was lovely. Our room was spacious and clean, with beautiful views from every angle and a generous balcony. It had a safe, fridge, and tea and coffee facilities. Parking was good, including the underground option once we got used to the tighter spaces. We spent lovely sunny afternoons with wine and great views in the clean hot tub on the sun terrace. The swimming pool was lovely too, and the restaurant and bar were superb. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge fresh selection each morning, great coffee, and eggs made to order. I honestly can't praise this hotel enough. It was incredible.
