Hotel Diana

We visited out of season, and our room was ready much earlier than expected. It was also much better than it should have been, with one of the most beautiful views of Lake Garda I’ve ever seen. The woman at reception was very kind and helpful. You can buy a ferry ticket there if you want. The room was cozy, and the bed was big and comfortable, with a good mattress. If we return to Lake Garda, we’ll stay here again.

The breakfast and swimming pool were good, but the room felt quite dated. The TV looked like it might be more than 30 years old. There was no air conditioning or fridge in the room. If you’re bringing a dog, pay attention: their website didn’t mention an extra pet charge. I understand some hotels charge for pets, but 15€ for a dog at this kind of hotel felt like a scam.

Breakfast was beautifully set out, and the staff were so friendly. One person in particular went out of their way to meet our needs. The owner was charming, welcoming, and spoke good English. The hotel isn't suitable for guests with mobility problems, though. You'd need to take a taxi.

Our balcony had a very good view of the mountains, pool, and lake, as we were at the end of the hotel. The rooms are a little small but adequate, and everything was clean. The hotel has a dated Art Deco style that won't suit everyone. Breakfast was good. It's up a steep hill, though we didn't find the walk too difficult. It wouldn't be a good choice for anyone with walking problems.
