Hotel Henriette

We planned two nights at this family run hotel in Male, Italy, and ended up staying six. Everyone in the family works there, and they were friendly and helpful. Most spoke English. The price felt very reasonable for the quality of the room. Ours was spacious, with a king size bed, a couch, plenty of storage, and a balcony with chairs. The big bathtub looked out toward the Alps, and the separate shower had a panoramic window. Being so high up made the room feel very private. There are lots of facilities, including an indoor pool with a grotto, two jacuzzis that you fill before getting in, a relaxation room, several other rooms whose purpose I wasn't sure about, and a large backyard. Breakfast is a generous buffet with eggs and bacon made fresh, plus fruit, pastries, vegetables, ham, cheese, and an espresso machine for cappuccinos and more. Dinner is offered every night in a beautifully decorated room with linen tablecloths and napkins, and the food was excellent. There's also a nice bar. The hotel has plenty on site, while the town is just a five minute walk away, with a couple of nice restaurants, a great wine bar, and lots of gelaterias. We loved this gem and highly recommend it.

I've stayed here twice with other families who had kids, and enjoyed it both times. For a standard three star hotel, the rooms are what you'd expect, and the half board meals were surprisingly good on most occasions. What really stands out is the atmosphere and the care Sara and her team put into things. The hotel isn't next to the lifts. Its complimentary transfer is fine, but you do have to plan around the schedule.

I've been coming to Henrietta with my family for a few years, and it feels like home. When I think of hospitality, the best staff, or a great vibe, Henrietta comes to mind. Sara, her husband, and the team make that happen. It's warm, welcoming, and feels safe, and it's dog friendly too. Highly recommended.

Sara is a great hostess, and the food and the whole concept are good. They do everything they can to give you a fantastic holiday. For a ski vacation, they have all you need. This hotel is fantastic.
