Guliana made our three months in Italy memorable. She spoke perfect English and was ready to help with anything. I’m definitely staying here again when I return to Salina. A must-stay place!

We arrived at A Alera after a sleepless night at a terrible nearby place, and Guliana got us into her last available room that same day. She really went out of her way to make our trip lovely, and we can’t wait to return. The location works so well for reaching the sea and port, while staying close to town without all the commotion. Our room was very comfortable, and the veranda view was incredible, especially for an aperitivo at sunset. Breakfast had fresh fruit, homemade bread, cold cuts, boiled eggs, and a great selection of homemade cakes. India, who looked after breakfast, was so kind and always happy to make us a good coffee.

Those six days on Salina went by too quickly, and we were sorry to leave. At A Alera we had a lovely room with a terrace looking out over the ocean. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, homemade bread and preserves, plus pastries and tarts. Guilanna and her family were incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

The common area and some of the rooms have stunning views. Juliana and her team were so thoughtful and made us feel comfortable the whole time. This place was a real jewel, and we can’t recommend it enough!

The room was plain but roomy, spotless, and had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of fruit and homemade cakes and jams, served on a terrace with a beautiful view. The host even went out of her way to make me a vegan tart. She was incredibly kind and attentive, and the place made a great base for exploring the island.
