Malfa is the prettiest town in the Aeolian Islands, and this B&B is a lovely place to stay there. We spent three nights and found the room spotless, with soft, scented towels and a handy refrigerator. The owner was always smiling and helped us whenever we needed something. Plenty of people do this kind of work, but not everyone is as kind and helpful. The atmosphere had the simplicity, peace, nature, and magnificent sea views we hoped for from a holiday in the Aeolian Islands. We’d suggest renting a scooter so it’s easy to get around and back to the B&B. If we return to Salina, we know where we’ll stay. Thanks again!

Chiara is friendly and helpful, and the place is a peaceful, well-kept retreat. It’s surrounded by greenery and close enough to the center for dinner without having to travel elsewhere from Malfa. The shuttle stop in the San Lorenzo area is an easy walk, though the climb up to the entrance is steep. The electric scooter we rented nearby didn’t have enough power to carry both of us up, unfortunately. 😅 Our room was spacious and clean, with air conditioning, a good hair dryer, towels, and a shampoo and shower gel kit. The refrigerator had water and drinks, with room for anything else you need. Breakfast on the veranda at the white tables with blue placemats was a treat. There were two homemade cakes, one chocolate and one apple, plus bakery cookies, fruit juices, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Some plums had been picked right from the tree by the B&B entrance. Ask Chiara directly for coffee, tea, or cappuccino. There are comfortable loungers in the garden and a shower there too. The apartments are spaced apart for privacy, and each private veranda has loungers, chairs, a small table, a drying rack, and a hammock. Definitely a place worth staying.

Chiara and her husband made us feel welcome from the start, and we’re grateful for their genuine kindness and help. Even with plenty going on in her own life, Chiara did as much as she could for us. Her warmth, like that of the people of Malfa, really touched us. The B&B is an Aeolian-style home set among vineyards and caper bushes, with Monte Fossa delle Felci behind it. It’s a few meters above the Church of San Lorenzo and the bus stop, and about a 10-minute walk from the center of Malfa. The garden has lots of plants, with lounge chairs and tables facing the sea, sunsets, and village. Our room was spacious, cleaned every morning, and had a mini-fridge, walk-in closet, TV, and air conditioning. The bathroom was very simple and unpretentious. Since the place is surrounded by greenery, air it out and bring mosquito spray. Breakfast included coffee, cappuccino, juices, croissants, Viennese pastries, and very tasty homemade cakes.

The owners and their daughter were helpful and kind, offering advice about restaurants, shops, and places to visit without intruding. I felt at home, and the island is wonderful. This is a simple, clean, welcoming place, kept in good shape and surrounded by greenery, with a breathtaking sea view. It’s near the island’s main towns, a short stroll from Malfa, and away from the bustle of Santa Marina port, though the port is still just a 10-minute drive. The basic rooms are roomy and private, each with a small front patio. Try to get one facing the sea. I didn’t feel air conditioning was needed. Breakfast was adequate, with seasonal local fruit, especially the prickly pears, and excellent coffee.

Even arriving late in the evening, we were greeted warmly and with real friendliness by the hosts. It was our first visit to Salina. The B&B sits in a panoramic spot near the beautiful church of San Lorenzo, with a breathtaking view.
