Stefano made the stay especially good. He was courteous, professional, friendly, and very helpful, with great tips on tours, places to see, and where to eat. The room was quiet and the right size for two adults on a short trip, with a small closet for our things. There isn't a safe for valuables like passports. It's the last building from the train station, so there's a solid uphill walk, though we got used to it. We relaxed and enjoyed our three nights at Room Rio Groppo in Manarolo.

The inn is at the top of Manarola, but we thought the location was still great, especially for the very reasonable price. Stefano's advice about tours, activities, and restaurants was spot on, and he's the warmest, kindest hotelier I've met. Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a king bed and great mattress, a large armoire, nice decor, a fridge with bottled water, and a Lavazza espresso maker with plenty of pods. The air conditioning was GREAT. Everything was perfect for us, and we'd give it six stars if we could. Best value and location in the Cinque Terre.
