The photos on this site and elsewhere give a completely misleading idea of what’s actually offered. The garden was neglected, with dry or overgrown grass and plants, and inside there were cracked walls, dusty old furniture, stained sheets, and a broken bathtub with a dirty curtain. They charged €200 for two nights and wanted payment up front. I objected and asked to pay on the last day, but it made no difference. For that price, the value was absolutely terrible. I know the setting is bucolic, but this was too much.

The owner was courteous and friendly. It’s also a lovely, charming place, well situated for visiting the Gorello waterfalls, thermal baths, Saturnia, Montemerano, and Sovana. They’re all just a few minutes away by car and beautiful.

A great price, comfortable beds, a lively and fun house, and a garden kept beautifully full of flowers. It made for a dream weekend that felt out of this world. What more could you ask for?

We paid way too much for a place with no air conditioning or TV and only a shower curtain. The photos made it look much nicer. Once we got inside, we saw cracks in the walls and peeling plaster, butterflies in the bedroom, and ants on the kitchen table. I get that it’s the countryside, but they should at least check the room before guests arrive.
