We booked Villa Daversa through Barbarhouse after being advised by phone not to use Airbnb and being sent straight to the agency. When we got there, the place was in unacceptable shape: it smelled strongly of mildew, was dirty, and had damaged furniture. We had to leave right away and find somewhere else to stay. The refund was only a small partial one despite the obvious problems, and they are still holding our €500 deposit. Communication was unprofessional, with no effort to find a compromise, including from the owner. Other Google reviews of the agency make it seem our experience wasn't an isolated case. Very disappointing, and I can't recommend it.
