Casa Salina

Lina was such a lovely, welcoming person and always helpful. We hope we can come back soon, and thank you again ☺️ The area is peaceful, with the sea only a few minutes’ walk away. We rented the “Vacanze Salina” house, just a few meters from Salina Monaci, and had an amazing time. It’s a beautiful home with three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, and a lovely brick garden. It had every comfort, from a hairdryer and garden sun loungers to bath and bed linens. We even found a shoehorn hanging in the closet on our last day 😂😂

Mrs. Lina was kind and available for every request, and this was easily the best vacation rental experience I’ve had. The house was spotless when we arrived and well set up, with air conditioning, a dishwasher, and an outdoor shower. It’s fenced in, with a security gate facing the road, so it felt very safe and worked well for our two small children, ages 6 and 1. There were four of us, staying from August 14th to 28th, and the kids had a wonderful time. The public beach is about 100 meters away on foot, with lovely water, especially in the morning and again in the afternoon when the wind shifted. That’s also when some seaweed washed up. Walk another 200 meters along the coast road and you reach the Salina Monaci nature reserve, where you can see pink flamingos. The scenery at sunset is enchanting. In the evening, it’s about a 20-minute walk to towns like Porto Cesareo, Campomarino, or the quieter but truly beautiful Nardò and Galatina.

Casa Salina is thought through down to the smallest detail, and it has every comfort you could want. Lina welcomed us so warmly that we felt right at home, and the cleanliness was breathtaking. I didn’t want the stay to end. A TEN! Hugs to Lina from Valentina, Tony, and Mirea.

We’ve stayed at Casa Salina twice already and will definitely return. It’s well equipped and just steps from a beautiful sea, while Lina, the owner, is exceptional and always available. She even gives recommendations for beaches and restaurants.
