Hotel Villaggio Aurora

The good points were the pool, parking, and general cleanliness. The rooms themselves were very clean, and breakfast was average, but there was a strong sewer smell in the bathroom both when we arrived and on departure day. The minibar water bottle had already been used by previous guests. The elevator looks about 40 years old and needs replacing, and €110 a night is too much for this kind of hotel. The sea is too far away to make that price feel justified. Compared with the same period last year, the rate had gone up by €40 per night, according to the prices posted on the room door. I'd already seen other complaints about the bathroom smell, so it seems to be an ongoing issue they haven't fixed.

The beach is conveniently close, and the sea is beautiful. The pool was lovely and clean too. My room was spacious, and both it and the bathroom were clean. It smelled so fresh when I walked in that I went to compliment the cleaning staff. Breakfast wasn't a huge spread, but there was enough, with sweet and savory choices and a good cappuccino. The hotel is a bit older and not state of the art, but it's looked after very well. I chose it because the price was low, and I feel I got good value.

There were a few minor inconveniences, but nothing serious enough to spoil the stay. I felt it was good value for money and had a positive holiday. The place is peaceful and a nice spot to unwind, with a lovely pool, lots of greenery, and ample parking. It doesn't look new, but it's well maintained. The free beach is about 500 meters away, with clean sand and clear water. I also noticed how clean everything was, including the rooms. Some of the staff were especially kind and attentive. We didn't talk much, but watching them work, I could tell they cared about what they did. Thanks to the super-hot Anna, sweet-natured Delia, who prepared meals for me several times with care and professionalism, and excellent Francesca, who was attentive and helpful.
