Open Space in the Village With Direct Access to the Beach

We spent two weeks in a holiday apartment with friends, and for us it was the right choice. The price for what we got was perfect. The cottage was well equipped and the kitchen utensils, furniture, grill, drying racks, and other things were in good condition. Hot water never ran short, even after all four of us showered one after another. The reception staff were very friendly, explained everything clearly, and even spoke German. Reception is on a separate property, about a five-minute drive from the apartments. You can use the facilities there, including the beach, loungers, parasols, paddleboards, canoes, and bikes. There’s also a small bar, and we could easily spend a whole day by the lake. The beach access near the apartment is easy to reach and nice for walks, and restaurants and a gelateria are only a few minutes away. For a long swim and a relaxing day, though, we preferred driving to reception. You can hear the nearby campsites, but it’s much quieter than staying in a bungalow in the middle of one. The apartment itself was cheaply built and very noisy, and the mattresses were too hard for us.

The large balcony overlooking an olive grove was especially nice during our week in the first-floor holiday apartment in June. The apartment was well equipped. It could get very noisy late in the evening, unfortunately, because of the other guests, and there’s a large campsite next door. You can only get to Felice de Benaco by road, and the beach is closed off in that direction.

We spent a week at Villagio in house number 87. The location was good, close to restaurants, and there was private access to the lake. The park mentioned in the description is private property, so it can’t be accessed, and the washing machine is shared by all four houses.

The best part of Apartment 3 at Heliopolis Village was sitting on the roomy terrace and looking out at the lake. The place is only a few metres from the water, with a private dock, and even during Ferragosto the beaches weren't too crowded. The staff were warm and easy to reach when we had questions. Canoes and SUPs are free to use, about a 10-minute walk away. The apartment felt rather small for six, and there was no air conditioning. At night, the terrace lighting was so poor that it was hard to make much use of it.
