Manfredonia really comes alive at night, and this B&B is right in the middle of it. A four-piece band played nostalgic covers below our room until midnight. The room was huge, with a harbor view, tall French doors and a private balcony. Air conditioning was great, and there was also a TV, kettle and cups, mini fridge and safe. There’s a little shared rooftop garden reached through the kitchen. Check-in was a hassle because we had to book a specific time. Since there’s no staff on site, they were quite inflexible about arriving outside that slot. Check-out was easy: leave the key at reception, and leave money on the desk for anything taken from the minibar. Street parking is free, or you can arrange secure parking a few blocks away for €10 a night. We parked our motorbike in the pedestrian area below the B&B to unload the panniers, and Marco called the garage for us. He was also helpful with dinner suggestions and places to see. Breakfast was self-serve, with typical Italian pastries and cakes, yogurt, some fruit, and a pod coffee maker with a milk steamer. We ate at pizzeria Francesco, a modest place away from the tourist center where locals were picking up takeout. Delicious! Fantastic location overlooking the harbor. Safe travels 🇨🇦

There was plenty of activity nearby on Saturday night, so it wasn’t especially quiet. Even so, we’d stay again. We had the suite, with a lovely garden terrace overlooking the marina, and it had everything we needed. The service was terrific, and the continental breakfast setup was nice too.

The room was okay, but for this quality it costs too much. Breakfast was a joke. They describe fresh coffee, cappuccino and pastry, but what we got was a Nespresso machine, industrial jam and little industrial cakes meant for children’s snacks. The woman on staff had told us there would be an Italian breakfast buffet, which made the disappointment worse. Covid isn’t a reason to advertise breakfast this way, they should just say there’s no breakfast. You have to arrive after 4 pm and leave before 10 am. I’ve been traveling across Italy for a month and this was my worst experience. I know August is more expensive, that’s normal, but the quality here wasn’t enough. Never again.

We’ll definitely stay there again. Mario and Sergio were so helpful, recommending wonderful restaurants and lovely boutiques for shopping. La Dolca Vista was a refined, fabulous place in the heart of manfredonia, looking out over the marina.
