La Casetta Del Castello

The owners were very friendly. His wife baked us a pie and a cake, and even bought us two beers. When we were leaving, they both came by with a large bottle of beer for us to take home. You don't get that kind of service everywhere.

We had a lovely stay at La Cassetta Del Castello from June 8 to June 12, 2018. It's in a unique spot on the edge of Manoppello, surrounded by local residents and with no other tourists around. When we arrived, we called and the owner, who lives nearby, showed us around and handed over the key. The charming little house has a living room and kitchen downstairs, with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It isn't very spacious for a family, and the stairs are narrow; the opening in the upper-floor stairs could be dangerous for small children. Everything worked properly, though there was a small leak in the bathroom. Breakfast is delivered each morning and changes day by day. There's just one restaurant in the village, nearby Pizzeria Masa, and it's a good one. Other places to eat mean a longer walk up and down the hill or a drive. We parked in a nearby free public lot. The area has beautiful drives and wonderful places to visit. We had a wonderful time in Manoppello.

The owner was welcoming, and so was the B&B. The kitchen is clean and works fine, though it could use more equipment. A narrow spiral staircase leads up to the rooms.

The apartment was spotless and in a great location. Even for just one night, the owner made us feel welcome and was so helpful. A really lovely stay, highly recommend it.
