The location was decent and the girl was fairly helpful, but the room was a mess. There was lots of dust and hair in the beds, an old ice cream in the switched-off fridge, and I couldn’t tell if the bathroom had been cleaned recently. The shower door was missing, the showerhead was partly detached from the wall, and the toilet seat wasn’t fixed properly and could come off if you sat down carelessly. There’s a lot that needs improving.

The rooms have a lot of space and charm, with wooden ceilings, and the location was quiet. The latex beds were very comfortable, but the pillows were too hard and high, which was a shame.

I booked without being told the place was in a ZTL zone, and nobody gave us a pass when we arrived. When I realized about the ZTL, I parked at the first paid lot outside the zone, a 15 MINUTES walk from Carducci, and ended up with a hefty fine. You should have told us about the restricted traffic area, asked for our license plate, and arranged authorization. There’s no excuse for that. Never again, and don’t reply with evasions!

The room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of comforts, and the private bathroom just outside the bedroom felt almost like it was inside. It was large too, with a lovely roomy shower, lots of towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer. We also used the small but comfortable shared kitchen. The room was clean, though as an attic it wasn’t very bright, which was fine. It was on the second floor of a historic-center building without an elevator, but the stairs were no trouble. The bed was comfortable, if a little noisy when we moved. We slept peacefully, despite a few cars passing, and didn’t have the door-opening issue mentioned in some negative reviews. The owner welcomed us warmly, explained a few things, and handed over the keys. If you’re driving, ask her for a ZTL pass when booking. It’s easy to reach every part of the city from here.
