The breakfast was very good, and my room was clean, with a nice balcony, air conditioning, and fresh towels. Gabriella is amazing, full of stories to tell. She welcomed me into her place and made me feel at home.

It felt just like visiting grandma! The owner is such a lovely lady and made us feel at home. We were in the area for a wedding at Borgo le Grazie, and this was just right for a quick overnight stay. There’s a little dog, but he really is all bark and no bite. The owner was attentive on our departure morning and chatted with us over breakfast for about an hour. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

The meals were a highlight, with tasty homemade food like tagliatelle with meat sauce, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, ravioli, and meat. Breakfast came in generous portions too, with wonderful tarts made with homemade jams, delicious biscuits, cured meats, and cheeses. Thanks to the excellent cook Mrs. Nicoletta. We happened upon Agriturismo "al Castagno" by chance and found a peaceful haven in the woods, not far from Abetone. We spent a week in an 18th-century stone house at this family-run place. Mrs. Sandra, the owner, had made every detail special and provided all the comforts. Everyone was kind and attentive to the guests. We highly recommend the experience. From Rome
