Agriturismo Podere Prasiano

The casette is just right for a couple or a small family, and the pool is beautiful. Emanuellla and Massimo keep the magnificent grounds in great shape. They leave enough breakfast provisions, with little surprises each morning that we loved. A wonderful Podere near Modena and Bologna. Highly recommend!

Fresh organic bread, eggs, vegetables, fruit, oil, vinegar and marmelade are available straight from the farm, and Emanuela sometimes offers the most delicious little treats. The owners are welcoming and always around with suggestions to make your stay pleasant. Their care for a sustainable, eco-friendly way of life comes through in the details, and the estate is lovely and tidy, with authentic apartments furnished thoughtfully and in style. Set among the rolling hills near Modena, Podere Prasiano has a fantastic view. A glass of their fantastic self-made vine on the partio makes for a very romantic Italian evening. Apart from the roosters calling now and then, it’s wonderfully quiet and relaxing. You can swim in the scenic infinity pool, read, hike in the mountains, or drive 1-2 hours to visit the many beautiful villages of Emilia-Romagna.

We had a private terrace and gorgeous views, with Emanuela and Massimo looking after us so warmly. There are so many great day trips to choose from, including Parma and Bologna. My teenage boys even told me, “give it a good review!!” We’ll definitely come back.

There’s room to spend time together over a lovely meal, with fruit and vegetables from the garden, and enough space for everyone to find some quiet too. We had the best time as a family at Podere Prasiano in July. Emanuela made us feel welcome, and as soon as we came through the gates and saw the landscape and pool, we all relaxed. It works really well for a family or a larger group, and it’s an easy drive to Parma, Modena and Bologna. Hope we can return soon!
