B&B Maratea Garden House

The breakfasts alone were a treat: Mariano made lovely fresh fruit smoothies each morning, while Giusi baked delicious cakes. The property was surrounded by greenery, clean, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details. We stayed for just five days, but it quickly felt too short. Mariano, Giusi, and their wonderful family were so attentive and welcoming that we could properly relax and enjoy our holiday. We’ll be back as soon as we can. Thank you!

It’s only our second day here, and breakfast has already been a whole event. Everything is homemade: fruit topped croissants, all sorts of biscuits, warm tart, cakes for dipping, and piping hot pizza rossa. Mariano can also make frothy zabaglione with fresh eggs from that day, or warm crepes with Nutella, then finish with homemade pineapple juice. I wonder what treats the next few days will bring! The little place itself is charming and well cared for, with a garden and a solarium looking out toward the distant sea. Mariano and Giusy are warm, welcoming hosts who really look after their guests.

There are books in the breakfast room for a bit of quiet reading, and breakfast itself is generous. The view is magnificent, with the sea on one side and mountains on the other. The rooms are nicely furnished, and each has its own bathroom, not a shared one. The owners are very kind, and the B&B has a welcoming feel.

We’d happily return. Our room and bathroom were comfortable and very clean, and Mariano and Giusy were excellent hosts. Breakfast was homemade, plentiful, and even better than we’d expected from the reviews. I highly recommend staying here. Raffaele and Francesca
