The terrace and view are lovely, and the rooms are beautiful. It’s set in a distinctive building in a medieval village, with a warm welcome. The hotel is near Maratea’s historic center.

We’re staying in a private apartment next to the hotel. From there, it’s just a few minutes on foot to the main square in Maratea’s historic center, so there’s no need to take the car. There are a few steps along the way, but they’re nothing to worry about. Excellent.

It’s unusual to stay in what feels like a whole village, and the rooms are spacious and welcoming. The staff were courteous. It’s a shame the building is showing its age, with damp starting to appear on the walls again.

The panoramic view is stunning, and breakfast was superb. It’s a clean, rustic-style hotel. The only drawback is the poor Wi-Fi, though on vacation that might be a plus. Recommended.
