Villa Alessandra

I’m grateful to the owners for taking my gluten intolerance into account and making sure I had what I needed. They’re friendly and easy to talk to, especially when sharing suggestions for beaches and restaurants. The place is quiet, in a convenient location, and has a splendid sea-view terrace.

The coast views are breathtaking, and the property is remarkably quiet. It’s right off a main road, but well connected to the town center and the coast’s loveliest beaches. Breakfast is served outdoors, with a classic Italian spread and homemade desserts kindly supplied by the owners. There’s also parking outside. I can only speak about the room I stayed in: an attic room with a minibar, bedside tables, wardrobe, and TV. It gets very hot up there, though the air conditioning does help. Mosquitoes were everywhere, perhaps because of Maratea’s mild climate, with the mountains and sea humidity. The bathroom was private but outside the room, so I had to lock my room, leave it, and use another key to open the bathroom. The door was a bit noisy, and I sometimes worried about disturbing other guests. It wasn’t the most comfortable or peaceful arrangement.

Maria’s breakfasts were delicious, especially the exquisite tarts. Samuele was a wonderful host, always ready with suggestions for places to visit and restaurants that wouldn’t disappoint. The B&B is in Marina di Maratea, surrounded by greenery, with a beautiful sea view and the beach only a few hundred meters away. A lovely spot for a short getaway. Recommended.

The rooms were clean and welcoming, with a breathtaking view, and the staff were incredibly kind. Breakfast was delicious and every detail seemed thought through. I only spent one night here, but it was a beautiful stay. We’ll definitely come back ❤️🐚🌊
