Villa Maria

We stayed in a flat at Villa Maria, though the campsite looked peaceful too. The olive trees give it a special feel and plenty of shade for campers. It's a lovely place to wander around and eat freshly picked figs :). There are some cats and dogs too. Bucko, the white shepherd, might seem scary at first, but he's such a sweetheart! The property is a five minute walk from Marausa beach. It's also well placed for Trapani airport, Trapani and its port (and Favignana!), the salt flats, and Erice. San Vito and Marsala/Mazara del Vallo are in the middle distance too. There are both camping pitches and accommodations here. The landlords are kind and great to talk with. We often saw them working around the land, and you can tell they really love the place. They work hard every day to keep it impeccable, even at their age. They're an inspiration, definitely! :D I hope it always stays as it is now, because it's special.

Everything was clean, and the owners were so friendly and nice. It's a beautiful farm close to both the sea and the city. I highly recommend it!! :)

I came in December and was the only one at the campsite. I needed electricity badly, and the hookup worked well, with enough capacity to run two devices at once, which is unusual. The elderly couple who run the place were very nice, though they're not very mobile anymore. The showers and toilets were covered in tree debris, so I left them unused. Unfortunately, there was also a waste disposal point, which meant I had to use the toilet for that. I hope it all gets cleaned before the season starts. It was very quiet apart from the crows and the usual distant dog barking.

Mrs. Maria was very kind and welcoming during my one night there. The apartment, though, leaves a lot to be desired. Its walls look ugly, the furnishings are old, and the bathroom and shower are subpar. The bed linens and towels weren't good either. The place itself could be nice, but the accommodations need a complete renovation.
