Migair

We’re giving this one star because we feel we have to. I agree completely with the previous review: the place doesn’t really match what other reviews say, though unfortunately it’s hard to recognize fake reviews from friends and family. When we arrived the first evening, Ileana said self-check-in wasn’t available. We understood why later. Our bags were still in the car when, as soon as we entered the property, she asked us to pay the remaining balance, not including the deposit. We hadn’t even been shown our rooms yet. Once we got in, we found them filthy, with a musty smell of damp and sewage. After that, she seemed to disappear and never came back. The pool and outdoor spaces were extremely dirty and unusable. I feel sorry for the woman who prepared the rooms in the morning because she did her best. As for everything else, let’s forget it. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere!

We spent five days at B&B Migair, and it was a real disappointment. It didn’t come close to what we expected, or to its advertised 9.4 rating. We won’t return and wouldn’t recommend it. The outdoor area was dirty and neglected, and also felt unsafe for children, with broken pots, rusty chairs, and a raised platform around the pool motor that was easy to trip over. The pool was cleaned only on the first day and stayed dirty for the rest of our visit, so we couldn’t use it. Another problem was a stray cat that the managers fed and that wandered around the property. We have nothing against animals, but this B&B doesn’t allow pets, and the uncared-for cat climbed into the already dirty kitchenette while we were trying to prepare baby food, then lounged on the breakfast table. Our first room was in appalling sanitary condition, with cobwebs everywhere, dirty floors and bedside tables, and a windowless bathroom that smelled strongly of sewage. We had to change rooms straight away. The second room wasn’t much better, though at least it had no cobwebs. Its bathroom initially had no bad smell, but it began smelling of sewage as the days passed, and the bidet was constantly clogged. Breakfast was another worry. Our child took madeleines from a glass jar, and we found they were full of mold. It shocked us and seemed to confirm how little attention was paid to hygiene. The host, Ileana, appeared only when we arrived, seemingly to settle the payment, then disappeared without even saying goodbye when we left. We felt that lack of care in several parts of our stay.

After a day at the beach or out hiking, the pool and outdoor relaxation area are a lovely place to unwind. The setting is also a great base for exploring the Trapani area. Our room had every comfort and was impeccably clean. Breakfast was generous and varied, served by the sweet, attentive Loredana. Ileana was wonderful too, always available with information and help whenever we needed it. I recommend it 100%.

Calm and quiet are what make this B&B stand out. It’s recommended for families, and the lack of architectural barriers and easy access to the pool make it suitable for everyone. Ileana and her partner were professional, helpful, and always smiling. The property is splendid, clean, and finished with refined details, and the wonderful Loredana graciously served a generous, varied breakfast.
