Room 307 was older than some of the hotel’s other rooms, the owners told us, but I found it welcoming and tastefully decorated. The hotel sits about 12 km up the mountain above Meran, and it was absolutely worth the trip. Food was very good, and the family, who have run the place for more than three generations, are clearly dedicated to quality. I can’t praise it enough and will definitely return.

We had a great time at Hotel Sonnenheim. The regional food and drinks were good, the staff were friendly, and the nature and hiking options were wonderful. You can visit the city by car or bus. There are standard and Deluxe rooms, and the place was clean and well cared for, Fiesta and beyond. The wellness and spa facilities were good too.

The food was fantastic, and the views are hard to beat. It’s a beautiful, modern Austrian hotel, very close to Merano 2000 for great snow skiing.

The food was great, though with so many people there the waiters seemed very rushed. It’s a really popular place, so it definitely isn’t quiet.
