Sweet Country House

We found this gem on AirBnB and had an amazing stay. We booked the whole place for our group of 9, though it can sleep many more, because it was centrally placed for the places we wanted to visit: Lake Garda, Florence/Pisa, Venice, Verona and Milan. Most beds are in the main house. A room in a separate building, just two seconds from the door, has an ensuite bathroom, one double bed and a bunk bed. The owner lives on site in her own section, so we had the privacy we wanted, while she was still available if we had questions. She decorated the house herself and keeps working to improve it, even though it's already in excellent shape. The bathrooms looked new and were very clean. The small town has a pizzeria nearby and one or two convenience shops. We'd definitely stay again.

Alessia, the owner, is cheerful, friendly and incredibly kind. The house itself is spacious, clean, welcoming and very well kept, with large sofas and air conditioning. Outside, there's a comfortable, tidy garden with fruit trees and a barbecue area. It's in a small, peaceful village in the heart of the Po Valley, a handy base for visiting several cities, and Lake Garda is only a short drive away. With all that room, it works well for large families or groups. I hope I get the chance to return.
