Breakfast was a highlight, with lovely homemade cakes and jams, and amazing views. The rooms are a little basic and dated, but we didn’t spend much time there anyway. We really enjoyed the stay. It’s a perfect spot for quiet days in a small village on the west coast, just a stone’s throw from the sea.

We booked at the last minute, and the host was incredibly kind and flexible. We felt welcome right away. Breakfast was great, with homemade cakes and good service. I’d definitely recommend it.

The bus stop is right in front of the building, which makes this a handy place to stay if you’re visiting without a car and want to see other parts of the island. Hotel Aurora is also only a few metres from the town beach, with clear water. Our room was tidy and very clean, with daily cleaning, a comfortable bed, and air conditioning that was much appreciated on hot summer days. Breakfast included delicious homemade marmalade, cakes, and pastries. It’s a family-run hotel, and Giorgio and Venusia made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Giorgio was kind and helpful with guests, and always available for recommendations or advice. If you want somewhere beautiful to relax away from crowds, I absolutely recommend Hotel Aurora on the amazing Island of Elba. I hope to return.

We had a good breakfast, and the hotel had a lovely view of the beach and village. The stone beach was just a one-minute walk away, and the host was very friendly. Hotel Aurora is in the small, beautiful village of Chiessi. The room we booked felt a little too small for four people. There was also an odd smell in the apartment, possibly from the air conditioning. Finding a parking space each time was the worst part. There’s a very small supermarket in the next village.

We had a very pleasant stay and I’d recommend this place if you want to stay in the area. Hotel Aurora is a group of apartments close to the sea, run by a warm and welcoming Italian family who really try to make your stay as good as possible. There’s daily cleaning with fresh towels, a long check-in time, private and public seating areas, free umbrellas, parking next door, and discount codes for restaurants and the fairy. The hotel also serves lunch and dinner, and there are restaurants in town and nearby towns. Breakfast is homemade and good. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great in our room and the air conditioning didn’t work. I think those issues would have been fixed if we’d reported them. We were outdoors most of the day, so they didn’t bother us too much.
