Park Hotel Cilento

There’s a good restaurant on site, and the room was very clean. It’s a bit of a walk downtown. The Park Hôtel staff were courteous, though the WiFi and air conditioning were inconsistent.

The WiFi and air conditioning were poor, but the people were lovely, kind, and helpful. The location is good too.

We had a fabulous weekend as a couple. The pool is really beautiful and suitable for children too, and it’s easy to get to the beaches from this well-placed hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with requests. We ate at the property and enjoyed excellent food and quality at reasonable prices. I’d highly recommend it for a few relaxing days in beautiful Cilento.

I stayed for a week in July with my family. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and always ready. The sea was beautiful, maybe among the loveliest in Italy, but getting there was an ordeal: a long trip on a bumpy road past open sewers and construction. I told reception I was pregnant and had two small children, but the options they suggested weren’t feasible. They need a shuttle, which they said only runs in certain periods, or a more suitable beach resort. The food at the restaurant was excellent and plentiful, but I repeatedly told several waiters every day that I was pregnant and couldn’t eat raw foods like cherry tomatoes and parsley because of toxoplasmosis. I felt mocked when regular dishes kept being sent out. I stayed calm so as not to spoil the vacation we’d paid so much for. Breakfast was poor. The restaurant area looked completely abandoned, with a 1970s/80s feel, piled chairs, broken furniture, and no decorum or grace. The bedroom area and restaurant are two very different worlds. The children’s play area was run-down, broken, dirty, and without a mat or lawn. The old pool was poorly cleaned and unsuitable for children. It’s far from the center and amenities, with only a supermarket, snack bar, and newsstand nearby. The bar service, if you can call it that, charged €4 for an ice cream and €8 for a cocktail. Those prices are absurd when places throughout Marina di Camerota have normal, fair prices. I’ll return to Marina di Camerota, but never here.
