Modica Beach Resort

The room was comfortable and in good shape, with a comfy bed, a good shower, and friendly staff who kept it clean. The hotel feels soulless, though. There's no good coffee at the bar, no cannoli or local food at breakfast, no watermelon, not even for extra charge, and the croissants are very bad. The bar around the corner does fantastic coffee, croissants, and cannoli. It feels like a chain that puts the same taste ahead of good taste. When we asked reception about cannoli at breakfast, the manager said locals don't eat them for breakfast, which isn't true. That lie left a sour feeling. Eat outside instead, it's half the price and much tastier. The beach is wonderful, clean, and has clear, shallow water.

The reception and restaurant staff were attentive and helpful, and the room and green areas were spacious. There's free public parking just a short walk outside the hotel, while covered private parking costs €18 per day. The relaxing area has benches and an umbrella for about €30. The central air-con was hard to adjust, so bedtime was hot. Sand on the lounge bench in my room was still there after cleaning, and the breakfast buffet quality needs to improve.

Our beach wedding was a fabulous day, and we loved every moment. Thanks to Modica Beach resort and all the staff for helping organize it. We especially want to thank the directors, chefs, maître d', bartender, and everyone working behind the scenes. We couldn't have had such a special day without them, and can't wait to see them all again soon.

The beach was brilliant and quiet, and the restaurant food was delicious. Staff were always helpful and smiling, ready to make the stay feel special. Our room was spotless, spacious, and tastefully decorated. It was great having a car to visit the towns and historical heritage nearby, though the resort could arrange visits or a car if needed. We definitely recommend it and will return if we're ever around Sicily. Excellent holidays, thank you so much!
